# Container queries are now safe to use without a fallback

The last holdout shipped support. Component-level responsive rules no longer need a media-query shim.

With the final major engine shipping support, container queries can be used directly. Component-level breakpoints are now a better default than page-level ones for anything that appears in more than one column width.
